Cantilever gate in an extreme slope with a pedestrian gate
The project consisted of a sliding cantilever gate with full automation, which was provided by the KEY SUN drive with LED lighting, beacon, photocells and the possibility of mobile control, and an entrance barrier for pedestrians with stainless steel accessories. The specialty of this order was provided by our client’s extremely rising land. That’s why our products had to be adapted to this type of climb, and that’s why we chose a stronger type of drive and at the same time implemented a hydraulic brake that helps the gate when it closes and ensures smooth movement. As a model, our clients chose a modern blind slat in an anthracite color with a fine structure.

Order from the customer
We received the first client contact thanks to a telephone conversation. During this conversation, the client explained to us what he would be interested in. Subsequently, the time came when we reviewed the data that had not been answered. A very important element was the slope of the land, which the client informed us at the beginning. Initially, we did not know exactly what the climb would be, so the offer for the client was indicative. We also informed the client of this fact, that it is necessary to expect a slight increase in focus. We created an indicative offer for the client, in this offer we also included a hydraulic brake and a class stronger drive with medium polyamide carriages, and then we sent this offer to the client. The client went through the offer point by point together with us and agreed with the offer. The time has come to agree on the date of the focus and then to implement the focus itself. When focusing, we were slightly surprised with the real slope of the plot. So far, this was the highest elevation of the land that we have realized as a company. After focusing, we updated the offer to the client, in which it was necessary to change the size of the polyamide trolleys by one more size, also to change the type of drive and thereby increase the power of the given drive and to use a hydraulic arm. The offer, which was slightly increased, was accepted, the client understood the given increase, which was explained to him, and we were able to start production.

Project realisation
The production and final assembly process was set at 8-10 weeks. The assembly itself took place in the 9th week. In addition to our work, we also do hot-dip galvanizing and powder coating with kiln-fired paint. The production of the gate and pedestrian gate went without any problems. We will not let the skilled hands of our experienced, technically proficient and certified employees. During production, as the “order” progressed and changed its status, we contacted the client so that our client would also know the stage of his order and at the same time so that the client would be calmer and know where he invested his finances. As soon as the order reached the last stage of production, i.e. to the paint shop, we contacted the client for the last time and agreed on an assembly date. Assembly was carried out using a hydraulic arm. A somewhat more demanding assembly, due to the above-mentioned elevation, but once again our employees did not disappoint us and handed over the order to the client on a turnkey basis. What we regret is that our calculations and numbers did not agree with real practice, and it was necessary to replace the already changed, stronger drive with an even stronger one, and it can be said that it is one of the strongest and most powerful drives we have installed so far. However, we replaced the drive, we did not charge the client any additional costs or anything in common. The offer we agreed on and thus the amount itself remained unchanged. In the end, we handed over a fully automated gate to the client, which is 101% adapted to the slope of the land and the entrance gate for pedestrians, and at the same time we also learned something and will use the knowledge we have gained in the future with other customers.
